Chartered in 1989, the Cincinnati Queen City Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc., is a sisterhood of African-American college educated women who are dedicated to community involvement.

 

Since its chartering, the Chapter has implemented numerous programs and services that has impacted the Greater Cincinnati community.  These outstanding contributions have not only impacted the community but have resulted in national recognition of chapter programs including awards for promoting awareness of Clinical Depression and enabling young girls to develop their science and technology skills.

 

The Chapter’s signature programs include the Beautillion Militaire, Delta G.E.M.S. Program, Dr. Betty Shabazz Delta Academy, and Health and Wellness.  Cincinnati Queen City Alumnae has awarded more than $300,000 in scholarships and awards to over 230 young men and women throughout Greater Cincinnati.  Other programs supported by the Chapter have included Census 2000, Habitat for Humanity, activities promoting the arts, Junior Achievement, the Underground Railroad Freedom Center,  and various efforts that promote human welfare.
